Amsterdam after party
Well, we didn't have the best circumstances for a visit to Amsterdam. It was the day after the big kings birthday celebration. The closest experience I've had visiting a major city was in New York during a garbage strike. It was obvious just how hard Amsterdam parties. Trash, broken bottles, overflowing porta-potties everywhere. We struck out for the Rijksmuseum, and got there after a nice long walk from Central Station.

It was an interesting city to visit, and in one day, we didn't scratch the surface of all there is to see. A repeat visit is in our future.
